ABOUT ECONSTRUCT

Econstruct Design and Build Pvt Ltd is a structural design consultancy based in Bangalore, working on tall buildings and complex structures.

We are building our social media presence and are looking for a creative Video Editor who can turn our projects, construction sites, engineers, and people into engaging content.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Video Editor who understands short-form content — not just how to cut a clip, but why one reel gets 500 views while a nearly identical one gets 500,000.

You will work from our Bangalore office alongside the team, with direct access to our projects, drawings, site visits, and engineers.

This is a hands-on production role, not a supervisory role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Edit short-form vertical videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn

• Edit raw footage into engaging, high-retention content

• Create strong hooks within the first two seconds

• Maintain tight pacing, storytelling, and clean payoffs

• Handle sound design, trending audio selection, audio sync, colour correction, and basic grading

• Create motion graphics, text overlays, captions, and subtitles

• Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form pieces

• Maintain a consistent visual identity across all content

• Collaborate with the team on content ideas and creative formats

• Bring your own creative opinions and suggestions

• Deliver content on a fast and consistent publishing schedule

• Organise, manage, and archive project footage properly

REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated experience in short-form vertical video editing

• Portfolio, showreel, or live social media handles are required

• Strong command of at least one primary editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut Pro

• Working knowledge of After Effects or equivalent software for motion graphics and text animation

• Understanding of social media video mechanics, including hooks, watch time, retention, aspect ratios, safe zones, caption placement, and platform trends

• Ability to work independently and meet daily output targets

• Must be available to work full-time from our Bangalore office for the entire contract period

• Immediate availability is preferred

PREFERRED — ADDED ADVANTAGE

Ability to Shoot + Edit

Candidates who can shoot as well as edit will have a significant advantage.

You should be comfortable operating a camera or smartphone rig on-site, with a good understanding of framing, lighting, camera movement, shot selection, and coverage.

Additional advantages:

• Experience with drone footage

• Experience in architecture, construction, real estate, or engineering content

• Basic thumbnail and static graphic design skills

• Understanding of social media posting schedules

• Basic knowledge of content performance analytics
