Job Description

Job Title: Territory Sales Manager (TSM)

Experience: 4–8 Years

Channel: General Trade (GT)



  • Job Description:Achieve primary, secondary sales and distribution targets in the assigned territory.
  • Drive expansion of distribution by improving numeric and weighted reach, ensuring product visibility.
  • Manage and lead the sales team including hiring, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and channel partners.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and manage outstanding balances.
  • Monitor and implement sales processes, including field reporting and MIS systems.
  • Plan and execute sales forecasts, minimizing gaps between targets and actual performance.
  • Execute BTL activities, promotions, and sampling initiatives in the market.
  • Oversee overall territory operations including stock management, claims handling, and manpower planning.


  • Key Requirements:Experience in General Trade (FMCG/Food/Beverage industry preferred).
  • Strong distribution and team handling experience.
  • Good understanding of market execution and sales systems.
  • Ability to drive targets and manage channel relationships effectively.



  • RequirementsBachelor’s degree in any discipline or MBA from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 4 to 10 years of progressive experience in sales and distribution management within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven track record in managing distributor networks, and retail execution.
  • Strong negotiation, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
  • Industry preference: FMCG (excluding Dairy Products).
  • Proficiency in sales data analysis, promotion planning, and performance reporting.Other details regarding job




Relevant Experience - 4+ years in FMCG Sales GT from Fmcg/food/beverages industry




Education - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or MBA from a recognized institution.




Location - Bangalore


Salary - up to 8 LPA




Notice period - Immediate to 30 days
