Restaurant Captain

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Hotel Captain to supervise restaurant/F&B service operations. The Captain will lead the service team, ensure excellent guest experience, coordinate with the kitchen and other departments, and maintain hotel service standards.

Supervise and coordinate Stewards, Waiters and Service Associates in the assigned section.

Welcome and seat guests in a polite and professional manner.

Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide menu recommendations.

Ensure timely and proper service of food and beverages.

Maintain excellent knowledge of the food and beverage menu.

Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure orders are served correctly and on time.

Monitor table setup, cleanliness, hygiene and overall restaurant presentation.

Handle guest requests, feedback and complaints professionally.

Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign duties to service staff.

Monitor staff grooming, discipline and service standards.

Ensure accurate billing and proper order entry in the POS system, where applicable.

Promote suggestive selling and upselling of food and beverage items.

Check availability of cutlery, crockery, glassware, linen and other service equipment.

Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures.

Support banquet, events and special functions when required.

Coordinate with Housekeeping, Kitchen, Bar and Front Office for smooth operations.

Follow hotel SOPs, food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.

Report operational issues, guest complaints and stock requirements to the Restaurant/F&B Manager.

Train and guide junior service staff to improve service quality.
