Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and diligent Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliances, and books of accounts in Tally for our garment manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience handling manufacturing-specific accounting entries, including raw material purchases (fabrics, trims, accessories), job-work challans, vendor bill passing, and GST/TDS compliances under the Indian taxation framework.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Bookkeeping & Tally Entries

Maintain day-to-day financial transactions in Tally Prime, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of accounts.

Process and record purchase orders, material inward notes (GRN), fabric/accessory supplier bills, and vendor invoices.

Record sales invoices, job-work challans (outward/inward for dyeing, printing, embroidery, stitching units), and transport bills.

Manage daily cash and bank transactions, including preparation of payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and contra entries.

2. Inventory & Production-Related Accounting

Reconcile material stock entries in Tally with physical inventory reports (greige fabric, finished fabric, trims, threads, labels, and finished garments).

Track and account for job-work expenses, processing charges, and deductions.

Maintain records of scrap sales, wastage, and inventory adjustments as per manufacturing standards.

3. Receivables & Payables Management (Working Capital)

Regularly follow up on Accounts Receivable (debtor aging) with clients, distributors, and institutional buyers.

Review Accounts Payable (creditor aging) for fabric mills, yarn suppliers, processing units, and transport agencies to ensure timely payments.

Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow statements and outstanding reports for management review.
