Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Check-In/Check-Out: Greeting arriving guests, verifying reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing key cards. At check-out, they settle final bills and process payments.
  • Reservation Management: Handling new bookings via phone, email, or walk-ins, and managing modifications or cancellations using a Property Management System (PMS) like Opera or Cloudbeds.
  • Guest Assistance: Answering inquiries about hotel amenities, breakfast times, and Wi-Fi details, as well as providing local recommendations for dining and attractions.
  • Financial Handling: Managing a cash drawer, processing credit card transactions, and ensuring all guest charges (e.g., room service, parking) are accurately posted to their accounts.
  • Internal Coordination: Communicating room status updates to Housekeeping and reporting maintenance issues to the Engineering team.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintaining a clean and organized lobby, handling guest mail or parcels, and documenting any unusual incidents in a shift logbook. Scribd +12
