Job Description
We are seeking a sharp, highly active, and self-motivated Business Development Executive (Modern
Trade) to own and grow our presence across supermarkets, hypermarkets, standalone departmental stores,
and organized lifestyle retail chains in South Bangalore. In this capacity, you will take direct responsibility for
account retention, product shelf layout optimization, volume tracking, and visual brand equity on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management: Cultivate and solidify direct operational relations with Store Managers, Floor
Managers, and Category Leads across Modern Trade counters in South Bangalore.
Listing & Visibility Placement: Negotiate for premier checkout positions and eye-level product visibility
(Share of Shelf) to maximize spontaneous purchasing patterns.
Stock & Inventory Integrity: Execute rigorous regular audits on inventory availability to prevent out-ofstock scenarios, enforce strict First In, First Out (FIFO) practices, and manage product damage or shelf
rotation dynamics.
In-Store Activation Execution: Coordinate, structure, and oversee local store-level product tasting
booths, festival discount setups, and seasonal visibility stands.
Sales Milestones: Steadily monitor and exceed primary and secondary weekly and monthly shipment
milestones.
Market Tracking & Intelligence: Provide consistent ground feedback regarding competitive pricing
strategies, consumer buying habits, and incoming trade incentives from competing brands.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven Experience: At least 1 year of consistent field tenure in Modern Trade accounts or Key Account
tracking. Direct food delivery networks, FMCG, or confectionery product sales backgrounds are highly
valued.
Geographic Command: Thorough, deeply ingrained layout awareness and travel route knowledge across
major commercial micro-markets in South Bangalore.
Mandatory Mobility: Active ownership of a reliable two-wheeler paired with a fully valid local operator
permit is strictly mandatory.
Commercial Skills: Proficient on-the-spot numerical understanding for tracking distributor trade layouts,
margin metrics, and consumer deal values.
Linguistic Competence: Flawless communicative ease in both Kannada and English is highly preferred
to interface comfortably across different store structures.
