Fiber Field Engineer

Job SummaryWe are looking for a Fiber Network Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring network availability, performing fiber splicing, testing connectivity, and resolving network-related issues to maintain service quality.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, test, and commission fiber optic network infrastructure.
• Perform fiber splicing, termination, and cable routing activities.
• Conduct OTDR and power meter testing to identify and rectify faults.
• Troubleshoot network outages and restore services within defined timelines.
• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime.
• Coordinate with field teams and vendors for network deployment activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network layouts and maintenance activities.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during field operations.
• Required SkillsKnowledge of Fiber Optic Networks (FTTH, GPON, ODN).
• Experience in fiber splicing and cable testing.
• Understanding of OTDR, Power Meter, and related tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic networking knowledge (IP, LAN, WAN).
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• EligibilityDiploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
• Freshers with relevant technical knowledge or candidates with 1–3 years of experience in fiber network operations can apply.
• Preferred QualificationsExperience in Telecom, ISP, or Broadband industry.

Knowledge of network infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
