Position Title:

·      Service Trainee [freshers] 14,000 – 16,000 take home

·      Service Technician [1-3 years] 20,000 – 30,000 CTC

·      Service Engineer [4-10 years] 30,000 – 55,000 CTC


Department: Maintenance and Service Operations

Industry: Lift and Elevator Installation, Maintenance, and Servicing

Location: Bangalore/ Any

Reporting To: Service Manager/Operations Head

Purpose of the Role:

To ensure the efficient functioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of elevators and escalators, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance of elevators and escalators as per the schedule.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in elevators.
  • Attend and resolve emergency breakdown calls promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during servicing.
  • Maintain records of service activities, including checklists and reports.
  • Replace faulty parts and ensure the availability of critical spare parts.
  • Liaise with clients to explain technical issues and service requirements.
  • Provide support during warranty claims and follow up with the technical team.
  • Train junior technicians and apprentices as required.
  • Ensure timely submission of service reports and documentation to management.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Awareness of safety standards and regulatory requirements in the elevator industry.
  • Customer relationship management skills.
  • Time management and ability to handle multiple service calls.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management for spare parts.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering fields.
  • Certification in elevator maintenance or safety management (preferred).

  1. Service Efficiency:
  • Completion of scheduled maintenance tasks within timelines.
  • Prompt response and resolution of emergency breakdowns.
  1. Technical Expertise:
  • Accuracy in diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Minimal recurrence of issues after servicing.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
  • Zero safety violations or incidents during maintenance activities.
  • Adherence to all regulatory requirements and company safety protocols.
  1. Customer Satisfaction:
  • Positive feedback from clients on service delivery.
  • Quick resolution of customer complaints.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Timely submission of accurate service reports.
  • Maintenance of complete service history for each site.


Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  1. Preventive Maintenance:
  • Regular inspection and servicing of elevators and escalators as per maintenance schedules.
  • Replacement of worn-out or defective parts before breakdowns occur.
  1. Breakdown Resolution:
  • Responding to and resolving emergency calls within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Providing technical solutions and performing on-site repairs effectively.
  1. Client Interaction:
  • Communicating with clients to address their concerns.
  • Educating clients about proper elevator usage and maintenance requirements.
  1. Safety Management:
  • Conducting maintenance tasks following safety protocols.
  • Ensuring the worksite remains hazard-free during and after servicing.
  1. Team Support and Training:
  • Supporting junior technicians during complex repairs.
  • Sharing knowledge and conducting on-the-job training sessions for team members.
  1. Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
  • Ensuring availability of essential spare parts for scheduled maintenance.
  • Reporting inventory requirements to the Service Manager.
