Caregiver / Home Help — Eldercare (South Bengaluru)

Salary: ₹9,000 – ₹12,000/month + PF/ESI + paid leave

Type: Full-time, permanent (not contract)

Location: Jayanagar / JP Nagar (must live within 30 min)

Working hours: Day shifts, 6 days/week (Sunday off)

About the role

We are starting a small, caring home-support service for senior citizens (aged 65+) who live alone in Bengaluru while their children work in another city or abroad. We are looking for our first caregiver — a warm, reliable woman who can visit 3 to 4 senior citizens’ homes during the week and do real work that makes their day better.

This is not a placement agency job. You will be our employee, with a fixed salary on the 1st of every month, paid leave, PF and ESI, and proper training before you start.

What you will do

•     Visit 3 to 4 senior citizens’ homes during the week (2 to 3 hours each visit, day-time only)

•     Light household work: cleaning, washing utensils, sweeping/mopping, simple cooking (rice, dal, sabji, chai)

•     Errands: grocery shopping, medicine pickup from pharmacy, paying bills

•     Companionship: sit and talk with them, listen to their stories, help them call their children on phone

•     Send a short WhatsApp update with one photo to the family after every visit

•     Stay calm and helpful in case of any emergency — we will train you on what to do

What you will NOT do

•     No medical work — no injections, IV, wound dressing, or nursing tasks

•     No night shifts or 24-hour duty

•     No heavy lifting of patients

•     No work that you are not comfortable with — we discuss everything in advance

Who we are looking for

•     Woman (ideally), age 30 to 55

•     Fluent in Kannada (must); basic Hindi or English is a plus

•     Has worked as domestic help, caregiver, or has cared for elderly family members at home

•     Patient, kind, and comfortable with senior citizens — especially those who are slow, forgetful, or hard of hearing

•     Punctual — if you say you will come at 9 am, you come at 9 am

•     Honest — no money or gift-taking from clients, ever

•     Ready to learn — we will train you in our way of working before you visit any home

•     Lives in or near Jayanagar, JP Nagar(so daily travel is short)

What we offer

•     Fixed salary of ₹9,000 to ₹12,000 per month (depending on experience), paid on the 1st

•     PF from day one

•     Paid leave — 1 day per month + festival holidays

•     Salary review every 6 months based on your work and client feedback

Selection process

•     Short phone call — 10 minutes

•     In-person interview at a coffee shop or our office — about 45 minutes

•     Background verification (we cover the cost, takes 3 to 5 days)

•     Home visit with us to one of our clients — you observe, we observe you

•     If both sides feel good, we make an offer and set a start date
