Position SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager with 3+ years of retail experience to support daily store operations, drive sales, manage team performance, and ensure excellent customer service. The role involves assisting the Store Manager in achieving business targets while maintaining operational excellence.

• Key ResponsibilitiesStore OperationsAssist in managing end-to-end store operations and ensure smooth daily functioning.
• Monitor store opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Maintain store appearance, merchandising standards, and planogram compliance.
• Sales & Customer ServiceSupport the Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Drive customer engagement and loyalty program enrollments.
• Monitor sales performance and recommend improvement actions.
• Inventory ManagementEnsure accurate stock management and replenishment.
• Monitor stock availability and minimize stock-outs.
• Coordinate with warehouse and category teams for timely replenishment.
• Reduce shrinkage, wastage, and inventory discrepancies.
• Team ManagementSupervise and motivate store staff to achieve performance goals.
• Conduct daily briefings and allocate responsibilities.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline.
• Cash & Compliance ManagementEnsure accurate billing and cash handling procedures.
• Monitor POS operations and daily cash reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company policies.
• Desired Candidate ProfileGraduate in any discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in supermarket, grocery, FMCG retail, or modern trade operations.
• Strong understanding of store operations, inventory management, and customer service.
• Experience in handling teams and achieving sales targets.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and retail POS systems.
