Job Description

Job Summary:

The Agency Manager – POSP Channel will be responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and driving business through Point of Sales Persons (POSPs) for insurance products. The role focuses on expanding the POSP network, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving sales performance, and achieving business targets through effective team management and relationship building.


Key Responsibilities:

  • POSP Recruitment & DevelopmentIdentify, recruit, and onboard new POSPs as per business requirements.
  • Build and expand a productive POSP network within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct induction and product training programs for newly onboarded POSPs.
  • Guide POSPs on insurance regulations, sales processes, and company policies.
  • Sales & Business DevelopmentDrive insurance sales through the POSP network to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Develop and implement local market activation strategies.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular coaching to POSPs.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across insurance products.
  • Relationship ManagementBuild strong relationships with POSPs and key business partners.
  • Conduct regular meetings, reviews, and performance discussions.
  • Resolve POSP queries and provide operational support.
  • Ensure high levels of engagement and retention among POSPs.
  • Training & Performance Management
  • Organize regular product and sales skill training sessions.
  • Track individual POSP productivity and take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Motivate POSPs through contests, recognition programs, and incentives.
  • Share market insights and best practices with the team.
  • Compliance & ReportingEnsure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of POSP onboarding, certifications, and business performance.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Ensure all customer documentation and processes are completed accurately.


Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Insurance certifications as required by IRDAI regulations.
  • MBA preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience2–5 years of experience in insurance sales, agency management, POSP management, or financial services sales.
  • Experience in recruiting and managing field sales teams is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance, General Insurance, or Health Insurance products.
