Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Accounts Executive to manage the company's financial operations, project accounting, vendor payments, client billing, payroll coordination, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with multiple departments in a fast-paced interior design and execution environment.

  • Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & BookkeepingMaintain daily books of accounts, including cash, bank, journal, and ledger entries.

  • Record and reconcile all income and expenses accurately.
  • Manage client payment records, including advances, stage-wise payments, and final settlements.
  • Maintain vendor and contractor payment records linked to respective projects.
  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
  • Organize and maintain financial records and project-related documents on the company drive.


2. Project Costing & Financial TrackingMaintain project-wise costing sheets for all ongoing interior projects.

  • Track material purchases, labor payments, and vendor expenses against project budgets.
  • Coordinate with Design, Procurement, and Execution teams to capture project costs accurately.
  • Support management in analyzing project profitability and margins.


3. Vendor ManagementRecord and verify vendor invoices and bills.

  • Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Maintain TDS records and vendor payment schedules.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to vendor bills and payments.


4. Client Billing & ReceivablesGenerate and share client invoices as per project milestones.

  • Track payment collections and outstanding receivables.
  • Maintain records of payments received through various channels.
  • Prepare periodic reports on client collections and outstanding amounts.


5. Payroll & ComplianceMaintain employee attendance and leave records.

  • Prepare monthly salary statements and payroll data.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and consultants for statutory compliance, including TDS, PF, Professional Tax, GST, and other applicable regulations.
  • Ensure timely salary processing and compliance-related documentation.


6. Financial Reporting & Audit SupportPrepare monthly MIS reports covering cash flow, receivables, payables, and profitability.

  • Support annual audits and statutory filings.
  • Maintain proper documentation of bills, vouchers, purchase orders, and receipts.


7. Petty Cash & Expense ManagementManage petty cash transactions and records.

  • Verify supporting bills and approvals for all expenses.
  • Submit weekly expense and cash utilization reports.


Desired Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (experience in construction/interior design industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, or similar accounting software.
  • Good understanding of GST, TDS, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
