From vintage-inspired sarees and pure silk weaves to blouses and handcrafted collections, we are building a brand rooted in nostalgia, craftsmanship and Indian heritage.
As we scale our online business and flagship retail presence, we are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor who can bring discipline, speed and accuracy to our warehouse operations.
Role OverviewThe Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is organised, accurately recorded, easily accessible and dispatched on time.
The person will supervise the warehouse team, manage inward and outward movement of stock, maintain proper binning and inventory systems, and ensure that customer orders are picked, checked and packed accurately.
This is a hands-on role and requires someone who is comfortable working on the warehouse floor and managing a team.
- Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse ManagementManage day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised and systematically arranged.
- Implement and maintain proper zone and bin management.
- Ensure every SKU has a designated and clearly labelled location.
- Maintain separate and organised areas for:
- New inward stock
- Available inventory
- Orders to be picked
- Quality check
- Packing
- Dispatch
- Returns / exchanges
- Damaged / defective stock
- 2. Inventory ManagementEnsure accurate physical inventory at all times.
- Track inward, outward, transfers, returns and adjustments.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure fast-moving SKUs are stored in easily accessible locations.
- Prevent misplacement, damage or loss of inventory.
- Maintain proper records of stock movement.
- 3. Order Processing & DispatchEnsure all online orders are picked, checked and packed accurately.
- Monitor daily order volumes and ensure dispatch deadlines are met.
- Ensure 100% SKU and quantity accuracy during picking and packing.
- Coordinate with the customer service and operations teams on order-related issues.
- Monitor pending, delayed and exception orders.
- Ensure returns and exchanges are processed and restocked correctly.
- 4. EasyEcom / Warehouse SoftwareManage and monitor warehouse activities through EasyEcom.
- Ensure inventory is updated correctly in the system.
- Ensure physical stock and system stock remain aligned.
- Track order processing, cancellations, returns and inventory adjustments.
- Train warehouse staff on the correct use of the system.
- 5. Team ManagementSupervise and allocate work to warehouse staff.
- Create daily task allocation based on order volume and priorities.
- Monitor productivity and accuracy of each team member.
- Train new warehouse employees on SOPs.
- Ensure employees follow warehouse processes and discipline.
- Identify performance issues and escalate them to management when required.
- Build a culture of speed, accountability and accuracy.
- 6. Quality ControlEnsure every product is checked before dispatch.
- Pay particular attention to:
- Saree colour and design
- SKU
- Blouse size, where applicable
- Quantity
- Product condition
- Packaging
- Ensure damaged or defective products are immediately separated and reported.
- 7. Process ImprovementIdentify bottlenecks in picking, packing and dispatch.
- Suggest ways to improve warehouse productivity and reduce errors.
- Develop and implement warehouse SOPs.
- Continuously improve binning, labelling, stock counting and order fulfilment processes.
- Maintain clear documentation of warehouse processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)The Warehouse Supervisor will be measured on:
- Order picking accuracy: 99%+
- Inventory accuracy: 98–99%+
- On-time dispatch: 95%+
- Reduction in wrong-item / wrong-size / wrong-colour shipments
- Reduction in inventory discrepancies
- Warehouse productivity
- Returns caused by warehouse errors
- Proper implementation of bin and SKU systems
- Warehouse cleanliness and organisation
- Team attendance, productivity and adherence to SOPs
Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and process-oriented.
- Comfortable managing a team.
- Strong with inventory and numbers.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working with warehouse management software.
- Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
- Able to work under pressure during sales, launches and festive periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced D2C environment.
- Strict about accuracy and process adherence.
- A hands-on manager who is willing to work on the warehouse floor rather than only supervise from a desk.
Experience & SkillsRequired:
- 0–5 years of experience in warehouse, inventory or e-commerce operations.
- Experience managing a warehouse team.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Basic knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets.
- Good communication and people-management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Shopify / EasyEcom or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Experience working with fashion, apparel, sarees or other SKU-heavy businesses.
- Experience managing D2C order fulfilment.
Working HoursThe role will require flexibility during:
- Festive seasons
- Major sales
- Product launches
- High-order-volume periods
The Warehouse Supervisor will be expected to ensure that dispatch commitments are met during peak periods.
