Sales & Business Development

Reporting To

Director / Head of Sales

Job Summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, developing key customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets for RF & Microwave products, Power Supplies, and related electronic systems. The role involves identifying opportunities in Defence, Aerospace, ISRO, DRDO laboratories, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Research Institutions, System Integrators, and Industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual revenue and profitability targets. 

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in Defence, Aerospace, Telecom, Research, and Industrial sectors. 

• Generate leads, conduct customer visits, and convert opportunities into orders. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, system integrators, government organizations, and key accounts. 

• Manage the complete sales cycle from enquiry to order closure. 

Customer Relationship Management

• Understand customer technical requirements and provide suitable RF, Microwave, and Power Supply solutions. 

• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with customers. 

• Ensure high customer satisfaction through regular follow-up and support. 

• Develop long-term partnerships with strategic customers. 

Tender & Proposal Management

• Monitor RFQs, RFPs, and tenders from Defence, Government, and Industrial organizations. 

• Coordinate with technical and commercial teams for preparation of quotations and proposals. 

• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms. 

Technical Sales Support

• Work closely with engineering and product teams to develop customized solutions. 

• Support customers during product evaluation, testing, and qualification phases. 

• Keep updated on emerging RF & Microwave technologies and power electronics trends. 

Market Intelligence

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements. 

• Identify new products and market segments for business expansion. 

• Prepare sales forecasts and business plans. 

Team Management

• Lead and mentor Sales Engineers and Inside Sales personnel. 

• Monitor sales performance and provide guidance to achieve targets. 

• Conduct periodic sales reviews and training sessions. 

Reporting

• Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline. 

• Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports. 

• Track order booking, revenue generation, and collection status.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in technical sales/business development. 

• Experience in RF & Microwave products, Power Supplies, Electronic Test Equipment, Defence Electronics, or related industries. 

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and handling key accounts.
