Job Title: HR Recruiter – Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement

Location: Koramangala, Bengaluru

Employment Type: Full-time, Work from Office in Koramangala

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and organised HR Recruiter who will take ownership of hiring Academic Counsellors and support day-to-day HR operations at Alt India.

The role will involve sourcing candidates through multiple recruitment platforms, conducting initial screening, coordinating interviews, managing employee documentation and supporting employee engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
  • Hire Academic Counsellors and other sales or operations roles as required.
  • Source candidates through:
  • LinkedIn
  • Apna
  • WorkIndia
  • Foundit
  • Job portals
  • Employee referrals
  • Social media and Meta recruitment campaigns
  • Post job openings and regularly refresh listings.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial HR interviews.
  • Assess candidates on communication, stability, motivation, salary expectations and willingness to work from office.
  • Coordinate interview rounds with hiring managers and founders.
  • Maintain an updated recruitment tracker.
  • Follow up with shortlisted candidates until joining.
  • Reduce offer dropouts and ensure smooth candidate onboarding.
  • Build a continuous pipeline of suitable candidates for high-volume hiring roles.
  • HR Documentation and Onboarding
  • Prepare and maintain:
  • Offer letters
  • Appointment letters
  • Employee records
  • Joining forms
  • Document checklists
  • Attendance and leave records
  • Confirmation and warning letters
  • Exit and clearance documents
  • Collect and verify employee documents before joining.
  • Ensure all employee folders and records are complete and updated.
  • Conduct joining formalities and induction.
  • Explain Company policies, working hours, targets and workplace expectations to new employees.
  • Coordinate employee exits, handovers and full-and-final documentation.
  • Employee EngagementBuild a positive and professional workplace environment.
  • Regularly connect with employees and understand their concerns.
  • Plan employee engagement activities, celebrations and recognition initiatives.
  • Support monthly Rewards and Recognition events.
  • Coordinate birthdays, work anniversaries and team activities.
  • Assist managers in improving employee motivation and retention.
  • Collect employee feedback and escalate genuine concerns to management.
  • Support communication of Company policies and internal announcements.
  • Required SkillsGood spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication and candidate-handling skills.
  • Basic knowledge of recruitment portals and social media hiring.
  • Ability to conduct structured screening interviews.
  • Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to maintain confidential employee information.
  • Organised, disciplined and comfortable with high-volume hiring.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Profile

  • Graduate in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in recruitment or HR operations.
  • Experience hiring salespeople, Academic Counsellors or tele-calling teams is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Apna, WorkIndia and Foundit will be an advantage.
  • Candidates who understand regional-language hiring will be preferred.
