Job Description

Role: General Manager (Operations) – COO Track

Location: Bangalore

Reporting To: Founder & CEO

CTC: ₹20–35 LPA



Role Purpose

To own and run day-to-day business operations end-to-end—across production, stores, supply chain, and procurement—and build the discipline, systems, and team capability required for scale.

This is a hands-on execution role that will gradually evolve into a COO track as the business scales.



Role Ownership

1. Daily Business Operations

  • Ensure smooth daily functioning across production, stores, procurement, dispatch, and supply
  • Run a daily operating rhythm (production, sales, inventory, issues)
  • Solve operational bottlenecks in real time



2. Production & Quality Discipline

  • Production planning aligned to demand
  • Consistent product quality across batches and locations
  • Control wastage, rework, and yield losses
  • Ensure hygiene and food safety standards



3. Store Performance (Execution)

  • Improve store-level performance:
  • Conversion
  • Availability
  • Service speed
  • Ensure store readiness, display, and premium experience
  • Coordinate with marketing for demand alignment (not ownership)



4. Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Ensure raw material availability without overstocking
  • Strengthen vendor reliability and cost control
  • Reduce stock-outs and last-minute sourcing
  • Improve inventory turns



5. Cost & Margin Discipline

  • Track and improve:
  • Wastage %
  • Production cost per unit
  • Procurement efficiency
  • Drive operational contribution margins



6. Team Leadership

  • Lead production, stores, and supply chain teams
  • Build discipline and accountability
  • Identify strong performers and future leaders
  • Reduce dependency on individuals



7. Founder Interface & Decision Flow

  • Take ownership of decisions within defined scope
  • Escalate clearly when required
  • Reduce founder involvement in daily operations over time
