Embroidery Operator – Job Description

An Embroidery Machine Operator operates embroidery machines to create decorative designs, logos, patterns, and motifs on garments and fabrics. The role includes machine setup, thread/needle selection, operating the machine, quality checking, and basic maintenance. NNQR+1

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate computerized/industrial embroidery machines.
  • Set up fabric, hoops, needles, threads, and machine settings.
  • Load and run embroidery designs/programs.
  • Monitor stitching and identify defects or machine problems.
  • Perform quality checks on finished embroidery.
  • Handle different embroidery techniques such as satin, cording, appliqué, cutwork, and fancy embroidery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform basic machine maintenance.
  • Follow production orders, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures.
