Design And Development Engineer

• We are looking for an experienced Design & Development Engineer with strong technical knowledge of sheet metal, tubular metal and modular furniture manufacturing. The candidate should be capable of independently developing furniture products from concept to final production drawings.Design and develop metal and modular furniture for offices, schools, institutions and commercial spaces.
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Develop sheet metal and tubular structures with proper fabrication and assembly details.
• Prepare production drawings, BOM, cut lists and hardware specifications.
• Design components suitable for CNC laser cutting, punching, bending and welding.
• Develop new products, prototypes and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
• Prepare modular furniture drawings with panel dimensions, hardware and fittings.
• Coordinate with CNC operators, fabrication, assembly and production teams.
• Optimise designs to reduce material wastage and manufacturing costs.
• Prepare shop drawings and technical drawings for client approvals.

Required SkillsAutoCAD, SolidWorks, Sheet Metal Design, Tubular Furniture Design, Modular Furniture Design, Product Development, BOM Preparation, CNC Fabrication Knowledge and Manufacturing Drawings.

• Candidate RequirementsMinimum 3–5 years of relevant design and manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and modular furniture construction.
• Ability to work independently from design development to production.
• Practical knowledge of materials, hardware, manufacturing processes and production feasibility.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing industries preferred.

Candidates with hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, tubular furniture and modular furniture manufacturing.
