Architectural Draftsman

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Architectural Draftsman to prepare accurate architectural and technical drawings for ongoing projects. The candidate will work closely with architects, designers, project managers, and site teams to translate design concepts into detailed, execution-ready drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, working drawings, and construction drawings.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, furniture layouts, and other technical drawings.
• Prepare drawings based on architectural concepts, sketches, and design inputs.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and compliant with project requirements.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, interior, and other services drawings.
• Make revisions based on architect/client feedback and maintain proper drawing versions.
• Prepare detailed drawings for site execution and construction.
• Coordinate with the site team to clarify drawing-related requirements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist architects in preparing BOQ-related drawings, schedules, and material details when required.
• Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, and file organization.
• Conduct site measurements and update drawings based on actual site conditions when required.
• Support the team in developing project-specific details and construction solutions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other BIM software will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, construction details, and building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good understanding of dimensions, levels, materials, and construction methods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple drawings/projects.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of Indian construction practices and standards is preferred.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Relevant drafting experience in an architecture, interior design, or construction firm will be preferred.
