Application Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Application Engineer to support our Geospatial and Civil Engineering software solutions, including AutoTerra, our photogrammetry and LiDAR data processing platform, as well as AutoRoads, road geometric design software.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge and customer-facing skills, enabling them to demonstrate software capabilities, conduct customer training, provide technical support, and assist the sales team in acquiring and retaining customers.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Support

• Deliver product demonstrations to prospective customers
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable workflows and solutions
• Assist the sales team during technical discussions and product evaluations
• Support Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilot projects, and technical presentations
• Participate in exhibitions, seminars, webinars, and customer events

Customer Training & Implementation

• Conduct onsite and online software installation, onboarding, and user training
• Help customers successfully adopt the software in their projects
• Prepare training materials, user guides, and demonstration datasets
• Provide workflow guidance for different surveying and mapping applications

Technical Support

• Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, remote sessions, and onsite visits
• Diagnose customer issues and coordinate with the development team for timely resolution
• Document customer issues and maintain support records

Customer Relationship Management

• Build long-term relationships with customers and understand their evolving requirements
• Gather product feedback and communicate enhancement requests to the product development team
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely follow-up and support

Business Development Support

• Identify opportunities for software upgrades, additional licenses, and new solutions
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, tender documents, and compliance statements
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve business targets
