Air Export Manager

We are looking for an experienced Air Export Manager with 5+ years of experience in international freight forwarding and air export operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end air export shipments, coordinating with airlines, overseas agents, customers, customs, and internal teams while ensuring timely and cost-effective shipment movement.

• Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end air export operations, from shipment booking to final delivery.
• Coordinate with airlines, GSSAs, overseas agents, customs brokers, transporters, and customers.
• Obtain competitive air freight rates and negotiate with airlines and vendors.
• Handle MAWB/HAWB preparation, documentation, invoicing, pre-alerts, and shipment tracking.
• Ensure accurate and timely customs documentation and compliance.
• Monitor flight schedules, cut-offs, cargo acceptance, and shipment connections.
• Handle export shipments including general cargo, DG, time-critical and project cargo.
• Resolve operational issues, delays, rollovers, and customer escalations.
• Coordinate with the sales team for quotations, RFQs, and customer requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with airlines and overseas agents.
• Monitor shipment profitability, operational costs, and revenue.
• Ensure proper billing and timely submission of vendor invoices.
• Prepare MIS reports covering shipment volumes, revenue, profitability, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, airline requirements, and applicable customs regulations.
• Lead and guide the air export operations team.
• Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in Air Export / Freight Forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of international air freight processes and documentation.
• Good understanding of MAWB, HAWB, AWB cut-off, customs clearance, and airline procedures.
• Experience handling export shipments from India to international destinations.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and work under strict deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and team-management abilities.
• Knowledge of DG cargo and IATA procedures will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and freight-forwarding/ERP systems.

EducationGraduate / MBA in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
