Role Overview – Assistant Store Manager

About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager at PET HOUSE, you play a vital role in supporting store operations, customer experience, grooming coordination, and team management.

The position demands responsibility, punctuality, operational discipline, and a customer-first mind-set, especially as PET HOUSE operates as a pet essential and service store open throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

· Support daily opening and closing of the store

· Ensure store cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and display standards

· Monitor smooth day-to-day store functioning offline store & online store

Customer Service

· Assist customers with accurate product and service guidance

· Maintain polite, patient, and professional behavior

· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and trust offline store & online store

Grooming Support & Coordination

· Provide operational and coordination support to pet groomers

· Manage grooming appointment schedules and customer flow

· Ensure grooming area hygiene and safety compliance

· Assist groomers during peak hours as required (Technical grooming to be performed only if trained and authorized by management)

Team Coordination

· Coordinate with front desk staff, groomers, and store team

· Ensure staff appearance, uniform discipline, and conduct standards

· Report operational issues or customer concerns promptly

Sales & Performance Support

· Support achievement of monthly sales targets

· Recommend suitable products, grooming services, and wellness solutions

· Promote ethical and responsible selling practices

Inventory & Stock Management

· Monitor shelf stock and product availability

· Assist in inward stock verification and reporting

· Support returns, exchanges, and documentation

Administrative Responsibilities

· Maintain Daily Sales Reports (DSR)

· Handle billing systems responsibly

· Manage petty cash and basic store documentation

· Coordinate home delivery and grooming bookings

Availability & Commitment

· Willingness to work on weekends and holidays

· Maintain punctuality for store opening and closing

· Support business operations as per management instructions.
