Key Responsibilities of a Factory Incharge

• 1. Production ManagementPlan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved on time.
• Optimize resource utilization (machines, materials, manpower).
• Reduce downtime and improve process efficiency.

• 2. Manpower & Team ManagementSupervise workers, supervisors, and technical staff.
• Assign tasks and ensure workforce discipline.
• Conduct training and skill development programs.
• Resolve workforce issues and maintain morale.

• 3. Quality ControlEnsure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) department.
• Implement corrective actions for defects and process deviations.

• 4. Maintenance & Machinery CareEnsure machines and equipment are properly maintained.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure minimal machine downtime.

• 5. Safety & ComplianceEnforce safety rules and monitor workplace safety.
• Ensure the factory complies with legal regulations (labour laws, pollution control, fire safety, etc.).
• Conduct safety drills and audits.

• 6. Inventory & Material ManagementMonitor raw material availability.
• Reduce wastage and manage storage effectively.
• Coordinate with purchase and stores departments.

• 7. Reporting & DocumentationMaintain production reports, daily logs, manpower data, and machine performance records.
• Report progress to senior management.

• 8. Cost ControlReduce production costs through efficiency improvements.
• Monitor energy consumption and material usage.
