Job Title: Logistics Executive

Department: Supply Chain / Logistics

Reports To: Logistics Manager

Job Summary:

The Logistics Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily movement of goods, materials, and stock within our supply chain. The primary goal is to ensure that products are stored, tracked, and transported safely, cost-effectively, and on time from suppliers to warehouses, and finally to end customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transportation & Shipping

• Coordinate freight movements across road, air, or sea networks.
• Plan optimal routes to reduce transport time and fuel expenditures.
• Track active shipments in real-time to proactively resolve delivery delays.

1. Inventory & Warehousing

• Monitor stock levels to prevent both overstocking and product shortages.
• Verify storage accuracy by reconciling physical counts with computerized records.
• Organize daily dispatch and delivery schedules for warehouse staff.

1. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare operational paperwork including invoices, delivery challans, and bills of lading.
• Manage customs documentation and classification codes for international shipments.
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance within the warehouse.

1. Vendor & Customer Relations

• Negotiate carrier rates to secure competitive pricing structures.
• Evaluate supplier performance regarding delivery speed and material quality.
• Resolve client complaints regarding damaged, missing, or delayed packages.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or third-party logistics (3PL).
• Software Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Key Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, time management, and solid negotiation skills.
