TOOL ROOM FITTER

Job Purpose

To assist in the assembly, fitting, maintenance, and repair of plastic injection moulds under the guidance of senior tool room personnel while developing technical skills and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Assembly Assistance

• Assist in assembling mould components as per engineering drawings.
• Fit guide pillars, bushes, ejector pins, return pins, springs, and standard mould components.
• Support senior fitters during mould assembly and dismantling.
• Ensure all components are cleaned before assembly.

Bench Fitting

• Perform deburring, filing, stoning, and polishing of machined components.
• Remove burrs and sharp edges from mould parts.
• Carry out basic spotting and fitting work under supervision.
• Maintain proper component identification and organization.

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of mechanical fitting.

Ability to read simple engineering drawings.

Good hand-eye coordination.

Willingness to learn and take guidance.

Basic measuring instrument knowledge.

Attention to detail.

Positive attitude and teamwork.
