Plant Head

and control day-to-day plant operations to achieve production targets.

• Prepare production plans in coordination with Sales, Planning, Purchase, Stores and Dispatch.

• Monitor production, machine utilization, yield, rejection, downtime and overall plant productivity.

• Ensure smooth operation of manufacturing processes for pipes, fittings, flanges, elbows and related steel products.

• Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, process efficiency and cost reduction.

• Manage production, maintenance, quality, stores and shop-floor manpower effectively.

• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery, equipment, utilities and plant infrastructure.

• Coordinate with Quality team to maintain product specifications, inspection standards and customer requirements.

• Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety, PPE, housekeeping and statutory requirements.

• Control consumption of raw materials, consumables, power, fuel and other resources.

• Review daily production reports, downtime, rejection, rework and corrective actions.

• Develop and monitor departmental KPIs and take timely corrective action for deviations.

• Train, guide and motivate supervisors, engineers, operators and contract manpower.

• Coordinate with management regarding plant performance, capacity, manpower and capital expenditure requirements.

• Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.

• Support audits, customer visits, certification requirements and statutory inspections.

• Identify bottlenecks and implement practical solutions to improve plant capacity and throughput.
