Job Description

  • Housekeeping DutiesClean patient rooms, wards, ICUs, OPDs, waiting areas, washrooms, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, and equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, wash basins, and other sanitary fixtures.
  • Collect, segregate, and dispose of biomedical and general waste as per hospital guidelines.
  • Refill soap dispensers, tissue papers, hand sanitizers, and other consumables.
  • Change bed linens and maintain cleanliness of patient beds.
  • Follow infection control and hygiene protocols at all times.
  • Patient Care DutiesAssist patients in moving between beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
  • Help patients with walking and mobility under nursing staff supervision.
  • Assist patients with feeding (if instructed by nursing staff).
  • Provide drinking water and ensure patient comfort.
  • Assist patients with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene when required.
  • Transport patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, or discharge.
  • Provide emotional support and courteous assistance to patients and attendants.
  • Immediately report any patient discomfort or emergency to the nursing staff.
