Job Description

  • Role: AutoCAD Designer / Draftsman
  • Location: Office-based
  • Reports To: Design Manager / Lead Engineer / Project Architect
  • Job Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Designer to transform initial sketches, schematics, and engineering data into clear, accurate, and detailed technical drawings. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure layouts comply with technical regulations and company design specifications.



Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting & Modeling: Develop detailed 2D layouts and complex 3D digital models using Autodesk AutoCAD and related design software.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to understand design requirements and integrate modifications seamlessly.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs and blueprints adhere to strict industry regulations, building codes, and strict quality control standards.
  • Document Management: Maintain organized design files, track changes across versions, and manage the technical drawing database for active projects.
  • Material Estimation: Assist project teams by calculating required dimensions, material limitations, and structural tolerances directly from drafts.
  • Site Coordination: Occasionally visit project sites to take precise physical measurements, verify dimensions, and update drafts as-built.


Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a certified course in Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven professional experience as an AutoCAD Designer or Draftsman.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level mastery of AutoCAD (both 2D drafting and 3D modeling); additional software knowledge (SolidWorks, Revit, or SketchUp) is a strong plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous precision in scaling, dimensions, and architectural/engineering symbols.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and design problems to non-technical teams.
