Job Description

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to spearhead our market expansion across Rajasthan. You will be responsible for driving Primary (Distributor billing) and Secondary (Retail liquidation) sales, managing a robust distribution network, and leading a team of frontline sales professionals. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the Rajasthan geography, from the bustling urban markets of Jaipur to the critical rural stretches in Western Rajasthan.


Key Responsibilities


  • 1. Sales Performance & Strategy

Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and value targets for the Rajasthan territory.

Secondary Sales Focus: Monitor and drive secondary sales through field teams to ensure healthy stock rotation at the retail level.

Market Intelligence: Track competitor activities (pricing, schemes, new launches) and provide actionable insights to the HO.


  • 2. Distribution & Channel Management

Network Expansion: Identify and appoint new distributors and super-stockiest in untapped tehsils and towns.

Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners, ensuring timely stock replenishment and resolving ledger/claim issues.


  • 3. Team Leadership & Field WorkManpower Management: Lead a team of 6–10 Sales Executives (SE) or Territory Sales Incharges (TSI).

Field Coaching: Spend 15–18 days per month in the field, conducting joint calls to train the team on "Range Selling" and "Product Pitching."

Performance Reviews: Conduct weekly and monthly reviews to monitor "PJP" (Permanent Journey Plan) adherence and strike rates.


  • 4. Branding & Trade MarketingVisibility: local "mela" (fair) activations.
  • Especially Worked in Tobacco or Pan Masala Industries

Scheme Implementation: Ensure trade schemes and consumer offers are communicated and implemented effectively at the counter level.


Education: MBA in Sales/Marketing or a Graduate degree with equivalent field experience.


Soft Skills: Fluent in Hindi and local Rajasthani dialects (preferred); excellent negotiation and data-analysis skills.
