Job Description

  • Prepare and edit CNC programs for VMC machines as per drawings
  • Set up jobs, fixtures, work offsets and tool offsets
  • Select the right cutting tools and machining parameters
  • Make the first piece, check it with Quality and get approval before production
  • Achieve daily production targets and reduce cycle time and setup time
  • Control rejection and rework
  • Guide and train VMC operators and allot jobs
  • Follow job card, process sheet and correct drawing revision
  • Coordinate with Stores, Maintenance and Quality
  • Keep program records and daily production reports
  • Support new product development and 5S / Kaizen activities
