Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and variance reports.
• General Ledger & Reconciliation: Oversee GL accounts, perform complex reconciliations (bank, sub-ledgers), and maintain ledger accuracy.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles (GAAP) and tax regulations (e.g., GST, TDS).
• Process Improvement: Review and enhance accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls for efficiency.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
• Audit Support: Coordinate internal/external audits, prepare documentation, and act as a point person for auditors.
• Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and delegate tasks to junior accounting staff; review their work.
• Month/Year-End Close: Manage and support month-end and year-end closing procedures. 

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's often preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
• Experience with tax compliance (GST, TDS) and e-commerce finance (if applicable).
