Aerolub Specialities India Private Limited is seeking an innovative and result-oriented R&D Chemist to join our Research & Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new specialty lubricant, aerosol, grease, cleaner, coating, and maintenance chemical formulations while continuously improving existing products to meet customer requirements and industry standards. The role requires strong formulation expertise, analytical thinking, laboratory skills, and the ability to work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Sales teams.

• Develop new formulations for specialty lubricants, aerosols, greases, cleaners, corrosion inhibitors, coatings, and industrial maintenance chemicals.
• Improve existing products to enhance performance, stability, safety, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, formulation trials, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare laboratory batches and coordinate pilot-scale production trials.
• Evaluate raw materials and identify suitable alternative materials for product optimization and cost reduction.
• Perform compatibility, stability, corrosion, viscosity, lubrication, and performance testing.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical reports with recommendations.
• Work closely with Production to ensure successful scale-up from laboratory to commercial manufacturing.
• Support Quality Assurance in troubleshooting product quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop customer-specific products and provide technical support.
• Maintain laboratory records, formulation documentation, specifications, SOPs, and technical data sheets.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for new product innovation and process optimization.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation for product registration, certifications, and customer approvals.
• Monitor market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for new product development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related discipline.
• Min 4-6 years of experience in formulation development of lubricants, aerosols, greases, industrial chemicals, specialty chemicals, or related products.
• Strong understanding of formulation chemistry and laboratory testing techniques.
• Knowledge of analytical instruments and quality testing methods.
• Familiarity with industrial chemical manufacturing processes.
• Good documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of additives, base oils, solvents, surfactants, corrosion inhibitors, silicones, and performance chemicals.
• Understanding of ISO quality systems and laboratory safety practices.
• Ability to manage multiple product development projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and innovation skills.
• Time-to-market for new formulations.
