Procurement Operations Associate
Swiss ReJob Description
Procurement Operations Associate
Are you a detail-oriented procurement professional with a passion for operational excellence and cross-regional collaboration? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where your expertise in sourcing and procurement makes a real impact? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
About the Role
As a Procurement Operations Associate within Group Procurement at Swiss Re, you will play a pivotal role in driving sourcing and procurement activities across the APAC region. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that sits at the intersection of operational procurement and strategic sourcing — where your expertise will directly support the business in managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance, and delivering commercial value. You will be part of a collaborative, globally connected team that is committed to making procurement a strategic enabler for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end PR to PO processes for the APAC region in alignment with Group Procurement Guidelines, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance at every stage
- Drive strategic sourcing and indirect operational buying across all non-IT categories in the APAC region, including Professional Services, HR Services, Property Services, and Business Services
- Execute sourcing events and contract activities by drafting contracts and launching RFPs on the Coupa procurement platform, in line with Swiss Re Procurement guidelines
- Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable Swiss Re procurement policies and procedures, proactively identifying and addressing gaps
- Support regional procurement managers with execution-related tasks, ensuring seamless delivery of procurement activities across multiple geographies
- Collaborate with Category Managers in defining requirements and identifying potential suppliers, contributing to robust supplier pipelines and effective supplier engagement
- Leverage Coupa platform capabilities across modules including sourcing events, requisitions, Purchase Order approvals, contract management, and reporting
- Partner with cross-country teams across diverse work cultures, bringing adaptability, cultural awareness, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
About the Team
Group Procurement is a team providing global support for procurement and sourcing activities across Swiss Re. The team manages the entire procurement lifecycle — from procurement operations through to Source-to-Contract (S2C) processes — including supplier due diligence, ensuring robust governance and commercial excellence throughout.
Within Group Procurement, the Non-IT Category team is responsible for sourcing and procurement support across Professional Services, HR Services, Property Services, and Business Services. The team manages high-value consulting projects across India and the APAC region, with a strong focus on effective supplier engagement, commercial excellence, and strict adherence to procurement policies.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative procurement professional who brings a strong operational mindset combined with excellent communication skills. You are someone who thrives in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, can manage competing priorities with ease, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes. You bring cultural agility, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for procurement excellence.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of solid experience in supporting sourcing and procurement functions, ideally within a multinational organisation with APAC regional scope
- Hands-on experience with Coupa or a comparable procurement platform, including sourcing events, requisition management, Purchase Order approvals, contract management, and reporting modules
- Proven expertise in indirect procurement across non-IT categories such as Professional Services, HR Services, Property Services, or Business Services
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience working across multiple APAC countries and navigating diverse regulatory and cultural environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex and evolving procurement scenarios in a clear and concise manner to a variety of stakeholders
- Highly developed analytical skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Familiarity with Source-to-Contract (S2C) processes and supplier due diligence frameworks
- Experience collaborating with Category Managers and contributing to supplier identification and requirements development
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process efficiencies and drive operational enhancements
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
