EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D&A) – DBT, BigQuery, Airflow - Data Engineer - Senior

As part of our EY-GDS D&A (Data and Analytics) team, we help our clients solve complex business challenges with the power of data and technology. We work across industries including Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver scalable and innovative data solutions.

The Opportunity

We're looking for candidates with strong experience in modern data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building and managing end-to-end data pipelines, data transformation using dbt, and working with Google BigQuery and Apache Airflow. Experience in data warehousing, Star/Snowflake schema design, and Wealth & Asset Management (WAM) data domains is preferred.

Your Technical Responsibilities

• Design, build, orchestrate, and manage end-to-end data pipelines.
• Develop scalable and maintainable data transformation workflows using dbt.
• Participate in the full software and data development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data platforms.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
• Work with structured and semi-structured data sources to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing data pipelines and workflows.
• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software and data engineering solutions using Python.

Requirements (Qualifications)

• BE/BTech/MCA with 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
• Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Experience in building and managing end-to-end data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Google BigQuery.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, and Star/Snowflake schema design.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a fast-paced development environment.
