Job Description

Product Manager

About us:
Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. We bring that vision to life through our values and culture. Learn more about Target here.

Working at Target means the opportunity to help all families discover the joy of everyday life. Caring for our communities is woven into who we are, and we invest in the places we collectively live, work and play. We prioritize relationships, fuel and develop talent by creating growth opportunities, and succeed as one Target team. At our core, our purpose is ingrained in who we are, what we value, and how we work. It’s how we care, grow, and win together.

Target’s distinctive brand love is infused throughout its many physical locations by the Properties teams. We have a direct and positive impact on the real estate, design, construction and maintenance of our 2000+ stores, distribution centers and headquarters. Target invests 75% of annual capital investment into Properties, and over half of the enterprise OpEx, leading to significant opportunity to impact outcomes for the business. We have an ambitious goal to launch hundreds of new stores over the next 10 years, with several hundred more remodels in stores, all driving new customers and incremental sales for Target.

Are you ready to help strategically grow Target’s brand through leading-edge design, development, construction and preservation? Can you effectively balance the efficiencies of a large-design build company with the unique challenges and innovative solutions required by individual sites? Then take your place as a Product Manager on Target Properties Product team and help us make the most of Target’s physical footprint both in the U.S. and overseas.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

As a Product Manager – GSCL Maintenance Operations, you will own the day-to-day product management for the work delivered in partnership with the Target in India Product Engineering team.

This is a unique opportunity to help modernize Target’s Global Supply Chain Asset Management as part of a multi-year transformation by moving from a highly customized legacy system to industry-standard, out-of-the-box Enterprise Asset Management capabilities for our Supply Chain Teams. The transformation will establish a more scalable and sustainable foundation for asset lifecycle visibility, standardized maintenance workflows, mobile execution, safety, workforce planning and scheduling, materials and inventory management, asset health, and predictive maintenance. This work will help reduce downtime, improve maintenance productivity, strengthen data quality and transparency, and enable better total-cost-of-ownership decisions across Target’s supply chain network.

Over the next several years, the team will establish the new Asset Management foundation and launch and scale across the network to eventually enable advanced asset-health and predictive-maintenance capabilities.

As a Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and work to collect other relevant data points that explain the value and help you prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

You will be the “voice of the product” with your product team and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and you will be responsible to maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.
