Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler - Consultant to help clients design, govern, and operate enterprise grade data models that support analytics, AI, operational systems, master data management, data governance, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, translating business concepts into scalable conceptual, logical, physical, semantic, and analytical data models. This individual will establish enterprise data model practices, modeling standards, mentor teams, perform model reviews, and guide organizations toward best practices in enterprise information architecture.

Key responsibilities:

·         Own and evolve enterprise data model and Domain Data Models.

·         Define and implement the Enterprise data modeling operating model.

·         Create and maintain data modeling standards, conventions, patterns, and reusable assets.

·         Define and enforce SOPs for data modeling, review, approval and change management.

·         Establish model governance processes, quality controls, and compliance checks.

·         Review solution and application data models for conformance to enterprise standards.

·         Build enterprise, domain, canonical, and application data models.

·         Define entities, relationships, business rules, hierarchies, and data standards.

·         Translate business requirements into information models and architecture artifacts.

·         Facilitate data discovery and requirement workshops, & advice client on data modeling best practices, governance, and design standards.

·         Collaborate with Business SMEs, Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, Data Engineers, Governance teams, and product owners.

·         Present modeling approaches and recommendations to client leadership.

·         The ideal candidate not primarily builds ER diagrams, instead act as an Enterprise Data modelling Governor, capable of establishing Framework + Standards + Operating Model + Governance + Tooling + Review Process + Adoption Strategy.

Required Technical Skills:

·         Data Modeling & Information Architecture:

o    Enterprise data modeling (EDM)

o    Conceptual, Logical, and Physical data Modeling

o    Domain Driven design

o    Normalization and Dimensional modeling

·         Databases Technologies:

o    SQL (Advance), T-SQL/PL-SQL

o    SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL etc.,

o    ER Studio, Enterprise Architect, Hackolade or similar another tool

·         Programming and Automation

o    Python, SQLAlchemy

o    YAML, GIT, CI/CD

RDF, RDFS, SKOS, LinkML etc.,
