Job Description
Logistics Analyst
Manage and coordinate the inbound transportation network to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials. Monitor premium freight movements, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to control costs. Oversee carrier performance through regular reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Prioritize Vehicle Off Road (VOR) and other critical parts to meet urgent operational requirements. Collaborate with suppliers, transport partners, and internal teams to minimize delays, improve service levels, and optimize overall supply chain efficiency.
- Coordinate airfreight of critical parts for priority orders as per the procedures in a timely manner.
- Process the Premium freight order and payment process to the freight forwarders
- Identify appropriate solutions for individual premium freight requests and liaise with SCM/carrier for quick delivery.
Establish Lead-Time Performance Reporting & Monitoring tool incl. dispute process.
Ocean Container Management incl. time window management based on FIFO
Monitoring the material flow and tracking delayed ASN/manifest in consolidation point (COP) and following up with COP for on-time movement to the Material synchronization center (MSC) and to the final receiving location.
Demurrage tracking/Analysis and dispute process for Sea containers & Trailers
Coordinate with supply chain team and Initiate Lane setup activity for new suppliers (Import).
Monitor and manage customs processes for the delivery of spare parts and accessories to dealers in Europe, with special attention to issues arising in trade between the EU and the UK (including export and import declarations, data transfers into booking systems of ferry operators, and the relevant customs systems).
Qualifications and Skills
- Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or MBA or any specialized course in supply chain & logistics with a Minimum of 4 yrs of work experience in Transportation, Customs & Logistics.
Longstanding experience in spare parts management and freight forwarding with a focus on customs is desirable.
- Strong Knowledge of Power BI - Added advantage
- High level of analytical skills, understanding of and ability to interpret and manipulate metrics, analytics, and data and produce actionable insights, handling of big data
- Very good communication skills, ability to deal at all levels of the organization, and use appropriate communication style and tone.
